The Interest of Consumers

The interest of consumers

As consumers, all of us have an in international trade, although we are usually unawere of the influence of internasional trade on the prices, quality, and availability of goods. Goods are imported only because they are less exoensive than domestic goods or are differentiated from them in one way or another. U.S. import of watces from Hong Kong and cameras from japan are examples of the first type of import, while imports off perfumes from france, beer  from holand, and high-performance auto mobiles from West Germany are examples of the seconds type of import. Without such import the American consumer would pay a higher price for watches and cameras and would not have the opportunity to enjoy chanel p[erfumes, Heineken beer, and Mercedes-benz automobiles.
Imports of raw materials and other industrial goods likewise benefit the consumers by lowering domestic cost of productions and in some instances  enabling the production of goods that depend exclusively on foreign sourch of supply. The consumers also has an interest in domestic expors., since they provide the means to pay for important. Hence, as consumers, we all benefit from the greater aboundance and variety of goods and the lower price that international trade make passible.
